Ayr Members' 'ETAPE CALEDONIA' Charity Challenge!

Bobby Marr is a member of our SES Club and he is taking on a tough challenge to raise money for a local charity. Good luck!

Bobby said: "I am raising money for Dementia Friendly Prestwick. This is a local charity whose aim is to support people with dementia and their families, keeping them included and part of the community for as long as possible. A group of volunteers from Prestwick have teamed up with Alzheimer's Society Scotland, the local Health and Social Care Partnership and NHS Ayrshire and Arran to create this initiative.

"I will be taking part in the 'Etape CALEDONIA'. The race starts in the village of Pitlochry on Sunday 12th May, the original UK closed road event with just 5,000 entries. This exciting but challenging race is 85 miles long with over 1200m of climbing, through the rolling hills and forested roads around Loch Ranch and Loch Tummel, as well as a tough, winding climb up Schiehallion Hill.
