Los Angeles, CA (May 8, 2024) — The City of Los Angeles Recreation Department and SE Sports club kick off the spring adaptive sports season with the introduction of sighted and visually impaired judo classes, a recovery wheelchair tennis clinic (supported by the Triumph Foundation), and para-equestrian classes supported by Ride On.
“We are excited to have sighted and visually impaired judo classes as part of the SE Sports club’s spring season of adaptive youth sports programming, bringing the total number of adaptive sports offered to date to 10,” said Wade Hassan Selman, CEO and co-founder of SE Sports club. “Being able to host inclusive classes for young people of all abilities to come together and share a passion for sports helps to combat disability stigma and build impactful friendships in our community. We are committed to continuing to create meaningful and inspiring opportunities for youth in the City of Los Angeles to participate in sports.”
