Our SE Sports club raised over £600 in Cash for Kids through Charity Week

Our SE Sports club recently held a series of fun events in support of Cash for Kids’ ‘No Hunger Holidays’ campaign, raising £607.39. The week-long charity event included a variety of activities designed to bring members together for causes close to their hearts.

Charity Week kicked off with a Coffee Morning, where members enjoyed fresh coffee and pastries to start the day in a spirit of community and generosity. This event set a warm and welcoming tone for the week’s activities.

Following the successful Coffee Morning, the club hosted a Retro Fitness class. This energetic class combined nostalgic music with an intense workout, giving participants a memorable and impactful workout.

The fun continued as we took part in the 60s-themed ‘Forever Young’ event, where older members dressed in period costumes and danced to classic tunes from the era.

One of the highlights of the week was the Group Cycling 90-Minute Instructor Challenge. This intense cycling event tested the endurance of our members and instructors.

Perhaps the most fun activity was “Make a Pie for the Staff,” where members had the opportunity to make foam pies for club staff.

SES Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Catherine Harmon expressed her passion and pride in the community effort: “It’s inspiring to see our members come together to support such an important cause. Every pie tossed and every pedal stroke brings us closer to our fundraising goal. We are more than just a health club; we are a caring community.”
